The 2006 Toyota Tacoma is carried over from the previous model year, which brought several build-related changes to Toyota's popular line of compact pickups.
This model, the V6-equipped Double Cab with 4WD and the long bed, is the top shelf Tacoma for 2006.  While Toyota is attempting to build a truck for everyone, with eighteen available model in 2006, this Tacoma's combination of power, capability, and cargo space will certainly make it a popular selection.
The Double Cab models receive the longest list of standard features, including a CD sound system, air conditioning, a full size spare, keyless entry, and full power accessories.  Available upgrade packages include SR5, TRD Sport, and TRD Off-Road.
The larger power plant is a 4.0 liter DOHC V6, which generates 236 horsepower and 266 pound-feet of torque.  For a 4000+ pound 4x4, this model is fairly quick, speeding from 0 to 60 mph in 9.6 seconds.  The V6 Tacomas will also tow 6500 pounds.
