2006 Chevrolet Impala LT Summary
The LT takes a very gradual step beyond the base level LS trim, by adding a remote vehicle starter to the standard features roster. Like the LS, the LT comes equipped with air conditioning, full power accessories, a tilt steering wheel, a power driver seat and keyless entry.
The LT also gives buyers a choice of engines; the standard 3.5 liter V6 can be swapped for a slightly larger mill. The optional engine is a 3.9 liter V6, producing 240 horsepower and 242 pound-feet of torque. Many reviewers have advised that this level of engine power is the best suited to match the sedan's rather mediocre suspension and steering systems.
