The LT trim is a more equipped version Chevy's small SUV. LT features upgrades include alloy wheels, fog lights and a higher quality cloth upholstery. Options OnStar, a power driver's seat, an upgraded MP3-compatible audio system and leather upholstery. Heated cloth seats also are a new addition to the LT options roster for 2006.

The Equinox has earned very high crash test and safety marks across the board, and this upper-level LT trim also comes equipped with traction control.

Chevy's part time AWD system does not affect fuel efficiency; all Equinox styles have an EPA estimate of 18/23 mpg.
