The LTZ is a new upper level trim for the 2006 model year, replacing 2005's LT. LTZ upgrades include leather seats and a premium seven-speaker Pioneer sound system. This upscale trim is also differentiated from the LS and LT by appearance enhancements like chrome trim and 16-inch alloys wheels. Reviewers have noted that the LTZ offers a much pleasant interior environment than the lower level trims, due to the inclusion of higher quality materials.

Like the LS and LT, the LTZ is powered by 2.2 liter inline four cylinder engine, which provides 145 horsepower and 155 pound-feet of torque. However, the four-speed automatic transmission is standard here. There is no coupe body style available with the LTZ trim.
