2006 Chevrolet Cobalt LT Coupe Summary

The LT coupe is a new trim for 2006, replacing the LS model which debuted last year. Last year's LT is now the LTZ. Standard features upgrades are considerable at this level, including cruise control, full power accessories, keyless entry, alloy wheels and higher quality cloth seats. ABS also becomes a standard safety feature at this trim tier.

Like the LS, the LT is powered by a 2.2 liter inline four cylinder engine, which provides 145 horsepower and 155 pound-feet of torque. A five-speed manual transmission comes standard, while a four-speed automatic is optional.

Cobalt coupes offer brisk acceleration, a refined ride and powerful brakes, but there is a number of low-grade materials and virtually no interior storage space.
