The fanciest Town Car trim lured buyers with its enhanced performance and extra-flashy interior. Some additional passing power and unique Lincoln logos embroidered onto the premium-grade leather seats were well worth the higher MSRP to many Town Car buyers; for their extra coin they even received the requisite Cartier analog clock to keep time in gold-accented splendor, as well as taillights emblazoned with the Lincoln logo.
The extra power came from a grouping of a couple dozen performance-enhancing parts that cooperated with the somewhat firmer suspension and decreased axle ratio to make this and other รข??02 Town Car trims sportier than others. The most notable stat was that horsepower increased from 220 to 235 with this set-up.
Although heated front seats and chrome wheels were standard equipment, Cartier buyers had to opt on a CD player and changer but were not eligible for a sunroof, believe it or not.
