The "budget" Civic Sedan offers a sizable list of features for its price. It's a bargain for the environment, too, as it not only gets great mileage, it's a ULEV-2 vehicle too.

With a 1.8-liter, 4-cylinder engine, the DX delivers 30 city miles to the gallon and 38 on the highway. It comes with a 5-speed manual transmission or optional 5-speed automatic.

Nice touches on the DX include rack-and-pinion steering, an anti-theft immobilizer, power windows, and a rear spoiler. For safety, there's ABS (with Electronic Brake Distribution), daytime running lights, air bags, and active head restraints.
