2006 Chevrolet Suburban LS 2500 4dr SUV 4WD

Suburban is one of the few remaining SUVs to offer both light- and heavy duty configurations, with the three quarter ton 2500 being the latter. The 2500 is powered by a 6.0-liter V8, delivering 335 horsepower and 375 pound-feet of torque. An optional 8.1-liter V8 produces slightly less horsepower at 325, but bumps torque up to 447 pound-feet. A four-speed automatic is standard on all Suburbans. When equipped with the 6.0-liter mill, the Suburban can tow up to 9,900 pounds, while the 8.1-liter engine will haul up to 12,000.

The Suburban's basic LS trim-level comes equipped with basic amenities like tri-zone manual air conditioning, cruise control, OnStar, keyless entry, a leather-wrapped tilt steering wheel and a CD audio system. Options are rather spared on the LS trim, but buyers can add a rear-seat DVD entertainment system.
