Mercedes-Benz SLK280 Overview

The Mercedes-Benz SLK280 was introduced in the 2006 model year as a less, expensive and less powerful version of the company's popular SLK350 roadster, which made its debut in 2005.

The SLK280 has a 3.0-liter twin-cam V6 engine that generates 228 hp. The car comes standard with a six-speed manual transmission and rear wheel drive.  A seven-speed automatic with manual-shift capability is optional.

The SLK280 has 16-inch, alloy wheels and high-strength steel construction which ensures structural rigidity and a stable ride without the shakes found in many convertibles.
