History of the Mercedes-Benz 420-Class

[Edit] The Mercedes-Benz 420-Class, and specifically the 420SEL, defined the luxury sedan of the early 1990s, and in fact many drivers believe these automobiles surpassed anything being built today. Drivers have noted that the 420SEL practically glided over the asphalt, and cruised at speed better than practically anything else on the road.

Under the hood, the 420SEL featured a powerful and responsive 4.2-liter, 201-hp single-overhead-cam V8 engine, matched with a 4-speed automatic transmission. Beyond that, the car came with just about every luxury appoint available at the time, with the possible exception of cup holders. Guess you can't have everything, but this car comes as close as possible to delivering just that.

Are there any computer "chips" made by anyone, that will improve the HP/Performance, of the 420SEL?
