History of the Mercedes-Benz 190-Class
[Edit] The 190-Class was the smallest and least expensive Mercedes-Benz sedan available during the years 1990 to 1993. Nicknamed the "Baby Benz," it was built in an effort to extend the mass appeal of the Mercedes brand and was available in a number of different configurations, with both gas and diesel engines.
The two standard versions were offered with either a 2.6-liter 6-cylinder or a 2.3-liter 4-cylinder engine. The list of standard equipment included antilock brakes, a driver's-side airbag, air conditioning, and power windows and door locks.
Trim packages included a Sportline edition, available in 1992, as well as Limited Edition packages, which were available in 1993. Features of these editions included special alloy wheels, a sunroof, leather seats, and special badging.
