Toyota Tacoma History
In 1995, the Toyota Pick-up finally got a proper name when Toyota dubbed it the Tacoma. The Toyota Tacoma is a compact truck, although it has been steadily growing larger over the years. Small but mighty, the Tacoma has good towing and off-roading capability despite its size.
Originally offered with few amenities, recently the Tacoma has been made available with more creature comforts. It has also undergone an exterior transformation over years, growing into a modern, sophisticated looking truck.
The Tacoma is known for being very durable and reliable, with some lasting for hundreds of thousands of miles.
The Tacoma has had its place in popular culture, most notable in the television cartoon show "Transformers," in which two of the Autobots are Tacoma predecessors.
