Toyota Tacoma History
In 1995, the Toyota Pick-up finally got a proper name when Toyota dubbed it the Tacoma. The Toyota Tacoma is a compact truck, although it has been steadily growing larger over the years. Small but mighty, the Tacoma has good towing and off-roading capability despite its size.

The Tacoma has had its place in popular culture, most notable in the television cartoon show "Transformers," in which two of the Autobots are Tacoma predecessors.
