CarGurus' 2008 GMC Yukon Denali Review

The 2008 Yukon Denali offers a wealth of standard features in a big, comfortable luxury SUV. Available only with all-wheel drive, the '08 Yukon Denali has plenty of power under the hood: A 6.2-liter V8 with an awesome 380 horsepower and 417 lb.-ft. of torque brings muscle to the road, while power steering and a state-of-the-art suspension (retooled in 2007) give this behemoth the agility of a much smaller vehicle.

Like its General Motors twin, the Chevrolet Tahoe, the '08 Yukon Denali is designed to bridge the gap between suburban sport utility wagons and their more rugged off-road counterparts. The Denali certainly has all the creature comforts the most pampered soccer mom would ever need: Power seats, a power liftgate, power-adjustable pedals, a heated windshield, remote start, and Ultrasonic Rear Parking Assist are just some of the standard offerings. The 10-speaker Bose Surround Sound system, along with an in-dash 6-CD changer and XM satellite radio, will gladden the hearts of audiophiles. And, of course, there's the General Motors OnStar system to help out in emergencies.

The '08 Denali seats up to eight passengers and offers plenty of cargo space as well. The price for all this comfort? The fuel efficiency of the 2008 Denali isn't anything to write home about: You'll get just 13 miles per gallon city and 19 miles per gallon highway in this big boy. But if you're looking for a luxury wagon with all the power of a pro-caliber truck, the 2008 GMC Denali may be for you.
