2007 GMC Sierra Classic 1500

The 2007 GMC Sierra Classic 1500 decided to play out the string in its last year of production by keeping the changes minimal, with the SLE getting a new 6 cd changer and controls in the steering wheel.  Weighing in at a half ton, you'll find Regular Cab, Extended Cab, and Crew Cab versions.  GMC always provides consumers with a wide selection and the Sierra Classic 1500's 53 trims should give you enough opportunities to find the right truck.  In addition, you can take your pick among 4.3L 195 hp V6, 6.0L 300 hp V8, 5.3L 295 hp V8, 5.3L 310 hp V8, 4.8L 285 hp V8, and 6.0L 345 hp V8 powertrains.  
Expect to get 15 mpg in the city, 20 on the highway on average.  Regular cab trims generally have 2 doors and seat 3 while Extended and Crew Cab trims typically seat 5-6 and have 4 doors.  The V6 trims use 5 speed manual transmission while the V8's go with 4 speed automatic.  
Overall, drivers like the roomy interior and solid performance that the Sierra Classic 1500 delivers.   The option to choose a hybrid electric engine doesn't hurt either.  However, consumers also like to see better materials, a more attractive design, and more standard safety features.  In any event, the Sierra Classic 1500 retires this year and makes way for a new generation of GMC pickup trucks.
