A 4.2-liter Inline 6 cylinder engine lies under the hood of the 2007 Isuzu Ascender, with 275hp at its disposal. If you want to go for the upgrade, there is also a 5.3-liter V8 with 300hp. A simple 4-speed automatic overdrive transmission is the only option available for both the 4WD and the rear-wheel drive models. And with these combinations, the 2007 Isuzu Ascender gets 15-16/20-21 city/highway miles per gallon. Certainly not great gas mileage, but there is enough power to take you wherever you want to go.
The interior of the 2007 Isuzu Ascender is laden with plenty of features to keep you and your passengers warm and comfortable. Air conditioning, separate driver/passenger controls and a CD player all come standard on all trims. Things like cruise control, a leather steering wheel, adjustable foot pedals, a CD changer, a sunroof, power seats, heated seats, and leather seats are all also available, depending on what you think you need. As with most SUVs, there is cargo space aplenty, with 80 cubic feet. ABS, a vehicle stability system, and all around airbags also come with the Ascender, just to make sure everyone remains safe while theyre comfortable.
There weren't a huge number of owner reviews for the 2007 Isuzu Ascender, but most of the ones available liked the mid-size SUV a great deal. Gas mileage was the consistent complaint, though it did seem to be about what Isuzu claimed. There are also apparently some blind spots. Owners liked the power available, especially from the V8. There is something fun about 300 horses pulling you around.
