With a new hood, grille, overhead console, and an optional power sunroof, the Chevy Silverado 3500 looks a little more up-to-date for 2005. This one ton pickup has 30 trims and sports a standard 6.0 L, 300 hp V8 engine. Optional engines include 6.6 L, 300 hp, 6.6 L, 310 hp and 8.1 L 330 hp V8's.
Standard cab trims have 2 doors and seat 3 while Extended and Crew cab trims have 4 doors and seat 5-6. While standard towing capacity ranges from 9000-10000 lbs., a properly equipped Silverado 3500 can tow anywhere from 15000 up to 16600 lbs. Available drivetrains include 4 speed automatic, 5 speed manual and automatic, and 6 speed manual transmission.
Overall, drivers like the Silverado 3500's power and diverse set of engines. On the other hand, the one ton pickup's materials could use an update.
