CarGurus' 2007 Chrysler 300 Review

The Chrysler 300 series underwent some significant changes for 2007, mostly in the form of additional features.  Adaptive cruise control, heated rear seats, and automatic high beams were all new. The 300 was also now available on a longer wheelbase platform. Six extra inches in wheelbase translated to additional interior space, mostly in the back seat.  This variation was available on RWD versions of the 300C and the 300 Touring.
Power plants and performance once range from modest to very aggressive.  All 300s, excluding the comparatively affordable base model, are available with a five speed automatic transmission with AutoStick and All wheel drive.  The smallest engine was a 2.7 liter 190 horsepower V-6.  From there, engines could grow by more than three liters, ending with the SRT's massive 6.1 liter V-8 Hemi.  Horsepower would reach 425 with this engine.  In the middle, a larger 3.5 liter V-6 gave the 300 Touring 250 horsepower, and the 300C's 5.7 liter V-8 jumped to 340 horses.
By now, the entire 300 series has received great acclaim for its unique styling and bold stance, setting it apart from other luxury sedans.  For a large car, the 300 also handles incredibly well.  Add a stylish and well appointed interior, and you might have the ideal car.  Almost.  Chrysler's build quality and reliability issues have marred the 300's image slightly.  The most pressing owner issues dealt with the quality of service.
