[Edit] Chevy's retro cargo van didn't change much for its final year of production. The 2005 Astro Cargo comes in 2 trims: RWD and AWD. Both trims have a 4.3 L, 190 hp V6 powertrain with 4 speed automatic transmission.
Gas mileage averages out to 15 mpg in the city and 20 on the highway. Both trims have 3 doors, seat 2,, and offer standard air conditioning and ABS brakes. Options include cd player, power window, and power door locks. With an impressive 170.4 cubic feet of cargo space, the Astro Cargo lives up to its name and gives you over 4 times the capacity of the Astro passenger van.
Overall, drivers like the cargo space and solid towing capacity that maxes out at nearly 5800 lbs. However, the outdated styling and somewhat cramped passenger room don't measure up. The Chevy Astro Cargo had a good run and a used model provides an affordable option for projects that require some serious manual labor.
