2007 Audi A4

Changes to the Audi A4 in 2007 focus on the snazzy convertible Cabriolet.  Not as well-known or sung about or lauded over as its distant cousin, the Audi TT, the Audi A4 Cabriolet is still a sexy beast, and in 2007, it gets the engines to prove it.  Catching up to the 2005 changes given the sedan and Avant wagon, the 2007 Cabriolet convertible receives the engine upgrades to 2.0-liter, 4-cylinder Turbo (at 200-hp) or 3.2-liter, 255-hp V6, both with FSI direct fuel injection that is supposed to improve fuel economy.  The Cabriolet also gets the 2005-designed fat square grille and the retuned suspension and steering for more responsive and precise handling.  Another new safety feature on the convertible is pop-up bars that appear if the sensors detect an imminent rollover.

Quattro AWD is now available with both engines on the Cabriolet, as it is on the sedan and wagon.  All FWD Audi A4s feature either 6-speed manual or CVT transmission, while the AWD quattros come with either the manual transmission or Tiptronic auto tran.  Manual transmission, however, is not offered on any Cabriolet trim (CVT or Tiptronic only).

The 2007 Audi A4 receives four and five-star safety ratings, and seems to be a great combination of power, style, comfort, and security, making it a versatile car for either family, personal, or business use, if you don't mind paying a hefty pricetag.  High marks go to excellent torque, decent fuel economy, a much quicker acceleration than in year's past, and the agile maneuvering and handling that make the A4 so fun to drive.  A cramped backseat and some turbo lag are among the very few complaints by owners.
