Smaller yet roomier since an overhaul in the 2000 model year, the 2002 Mercedes-Benz S600 continued to receive accolades from luxury car buyers. The car was also sleeker than older models, earning it the title of having the most aerodynamic efficiency in a passenger car.

More than any other luxury car maker, Mercedes is know for its technological prowess, installing dozens of systems that improve safety, comfort and performance. The 2002 S600 also ushered in the newest Mercedes engine, a 362 horsepower, 5.8 liter V12.

Other upgrades in 2002 included active suspension, high-polish 17-inch alloy wheels, and greater levels of wood and leather trim inside the cabin. And optional sport package sharpened styling and handling.
