The flagship car of the flagship Mercedes lineup might be the best way to describe the 2006 S600, which sits atop the German auto maker's famed S-class line of cars. The 2006 model year was the last before a major overhaul which would replace a generation of cars that had been built on the same platform since 2000.
For its final year, the S600 measures at over 200 inches - a big car that screams affluence. And while it's billed as a five-passenger sedan, the car has plenty of room for both passengers and cargo.
A 5.5 liter, twin turbocharged V12 engine delivers 494 horsepower - a massive step up from the next biggest car in the class, the 302 horsepower S500.
