CarGurus' 2006 Mercedes-Benz S500 Review

The 2006 model year marked the last year of a generation of S-classes that was launched in 2000. For its farewell version, the S600 - solidly in the middle of S-class offerings - received rear side blinds as a no-cost option.

The S600 is Mercedes' biggest sedan, stretching 200 inches. That translates to four-door comfort, with plenty room and lots of luxurious touches.

The car is powered by a 302 horsepower, 5.0 liter V8 engine. The car handles well, although one test driver did complain that the car's massive, 18-inch tires created a whine the penetrated the "otherwise serene cabin."
