There were no engine changes to the 1995 Mercedes-Benz C220 this year; it still had its 2.2 liter, 4-cylinder, 148 hp behemoth that produced a sound, solid, even quiet ride. The dashboard is still easy to read and control; a storage space in the center console; a high (albeit short) rear deck; ample rear seat room; and a trunk that's plenty big.
This year, the C220's taillights are attached to the body structure and, if you wanted to spring for it, an option was a headlight wiper system as were rear-retractable headrests in the back -- each lending additional safety features.
Most general complaints we learned of about the Benz focused on the teeny-tiny glove compartment and interval wipers with only one speed on the '95 C220. However, several sources also reported problems with the C-class wiring system in the early model years - including this one.
