Besides adding mp3 and XM Satellite Radio capabilities to the audio system, not a whole lot changed for Suzuki's biggest SUV in 2006.  This vehicle comes in 6 trims, has 4 doors, and seats either 5 or 7 people depending on if you opt for a trim with a 3rd row.  All 6 have a 2.7 L, 185 hp V6 powertrain with 5 speed automatic transmission.

Gas mileage generally comes out to 18 mpg in the city and 22 on the highway.  All trims tow up to 3000 lbs.  For those trims with a third row, you'll get 43.3 cubic feet of cargo room with the third row down and 75.1 with the second row down as well.  Finally, all trims come with standard air conditioning, power windows, power door locks, cd player, and ABS brakes.  

Overall, drivers agree you get what you pay for with the 2006 Suzuki XL-7.  The low price tag, available third row, and decent handling make it a good option for budget-conscious SUV fans.  However, the XL-7 could use better materials, more interior space, and a stronger engine.  If you buy one, keep in mind Suzuki's propensity for only giving you just enough to get by when it comes to automobiles.
