The most noticeable addition to the Acura TL for 2006 comes from the standard tire pressure monitor. The TL comes in 6 trims: 5-speed automatic with or without navigation, 6-speed manual, 6-speed manual with navigation, 6-speed manual with performance tires, and 6-speed manual with both navigation and performance tires. The engine in the 6-speed manual trims now adjusts to reduce the effects of torque steering.
Otherwise, this midsize luxury sedan maintains the same general features from 2005. All 6 trims have a 3.2-liter, 258-hp V6 engine. The 5-speed trims use an automatic transmission, while the 6-speed trims use a manual. Gas consumption comes out to 20 mpg in the city and 29 mpg on the highway. In addition, this model has 4 doors and seats 5. Standard features include sunroof, air conditioning, power windows, power door locks, leather seats, power seats, a CD player, ABS brakes, traction control, and stability control.
Overall, owners like pretty much everything about the 2006 Acura TL. The style, performance, gas mileage, and handling all receive high marks. The only real issues come from taller passengers who have a hard time stepping into the car and drivers who would prefer not to buy premium fuel. However, despite these minor concerns, reviewers like the 2006 Acura TL and look forward to its continued development.
