CarGurus' 2000 BMW 323 Review

2000 marked the last year the BMW 323 would be offered in the U.S. market as the entry level vehicle to the popular 3-Series. In 2001 BMW renamed the car BMW 325 to reflect its 2.5 liter, 170 horsepower engine.

What the 2000 323 had over some of its successors is refined, interior styling. In later years some drivers began to complain that the quality of workmanship in the cabin did not reflect the price of the car, but there were few complaints along those lines with the final version of the 323.

The engine and design of the 323 was built on BMW's E46 platform and offered "unparalleled handling." Another owner praised the "smooth drive" and the "beautiful exterior."
