CarGurus' 2004 BMW 320 Review

The 2004 model year was the last that BMW produced the 320 with a four cylinder engine, opting for the more powerful (and more expensive) V6 in 2005. The car is predominantly sold in Europe and considered the mid-range vehicle in BMW's entry level 3-Series on that continent.

But don't let the four cylinder engine fool you -- the 320 delivers a whopping 150 horsepower and enough torque to rival more expensive 5- and 7-series vehicles.

European drivers seem to prefer the more powerful and more efficient diesel versions, but the standard petrol version is no slacker. "So, despite bigger-engined petrol versions rolling out over the coming months, don't be disappointed if your company won't pay the premium for the more powerful 320d and you have to settle for a 320i," said one test driver. "It is an icon after all."
