This was a bit of a DIY dream of mine. I bought it already having undergone a stage 2 conversion with Richie Jute wild cams, free flow exhaust system, and wide profile tyres on Smith Wheels mags. It drove like a donkey - strong with no top end, but you could rev that engine all day long. The torque on the car was incredible.Aug 30, 2008

How is it when you first get your car no matter what it is you still feel cool! When i got on the road these cars were pretty common for the boy racer, and they were easy to work on and you could get parts easy at the scrappy pretty much where i lived most of the time. They were fun to drive for the first owned car and gave you a bit of street cred.Mind you it didnt last long for me after cooking the engine and managing to sell the car on for more running on three pistons with a top speed of 60mph.With that the engines were pretty strong taking a lot of abuse and i loved the rear wheel drive on corners.Canary yellow was a bit strong though giving you the flying bannana look.Overall it was a good fun car for a first car but was soon transformed after driving a Vw golf Gti.Mar 04, 2008
