CarGurus' 1998 Chevrolet Corvette Review

*History of the 1998 Corvette*

The second year of the C5 platform (1997-2004), the 1998 Corvette shares the C5 tradition of being a wonderful value in terms of its performance to price ratio.

Consumers applaud the car's handling and acceleration as well as its everyday drivability. Many are surprised to find out that despite its performance heritage the car achieves relatively good gas mileage: 18 mpg City and 27 mpg Highway. With comfortable seats and a trunk that can handle two golf bags and luggage for two, the 1998 Corvette can be comfortably taken on long trips.

As for drawbacks, consumers find that the car does attract quite a bit of notice. If you strive to avoid attention this might not be the right car for you. In terms of repair history, the 1998 Corvette has a known problem with its steering lock column. However, this is not an expensive part to get repaired.

Overall, the 1998 Corvette offers great performance, comfortable everyday driving and all at a reasonable price.
