The 2006 Toyota Corolla is a carryover from 2005. Last restyled for 2003, the Corolla is a basic, no-frills sedan, but Corolla owners don't seem to mind. The 2006 Toyota Corolla can not be described as roomy, but the interior offers an adequate amount of space in the front and back and the trunk is surprisingly large for a car this size. The 2006 Toyota Corolla is available in the CE, S, LE and XRS trim levels. The CE, which is the base model, comes standard with air conditioning. Upgrading to the sportier S gets wider wheels and exterior accents such as front and rear underbody spoilers and rear mudguards, while the inside gets a tachometer, chrome accents, and power locks. The LE is the most luxurious model and comes with the expected features such as power windows and keyless entry. The XRS is a high performance model aimed at younger drivers. Sport-tuned suspension and a peppier acceleration make the XRS more fun to drive. Drivers of the 2006 Corolla love the reasonable cost and high gas mileage but complain about the bumpy ride and the awkward positioning of the steering wheel. Prices range from about $14,000-$18,000.
