CarGurus' 1993 Audi S4 Review

The 1993 Audi S4 is a roomy and comfortable 4-door sedan, basically a souped-up Audi 100.  It has a firmer suspension, higher horsepower, and features quattro all-wheel drive.  Under its hood sits a turbocharged 2.2-liter, 5-cylinder, 227-hp engine with 5-speed manual transmission.  In 1993, the only change to the S4 was the addition of a passenger side airbag.  For those who need a commuter car and something fun to drive on the weekends and an SUV for bad weather, the S4 saves you buying three cars by giving you all you need in one luxurious package.

The luxury comes on the inside.  Comfortable leather seats are just the beginning.  The 1993 S4 gives you power windows and locks, power seats and mirror adjustments with memory, intermittent wipers, keyless entry, cruise control, dual front airbags, and heated front and rear seats.  You may never want to leave the car, even when it's parked in the driveway.  The quattro technology keeps the S4 sure-footed on the road, no matter what the condition, and Audi handling is always top-notch, combing power, speed, and precise handling behind the wheel.

The 1993 S4 seems indestructible, say owners, who mention the durability of the engine and that the car never seems to show its age, both inside and out.  Drivers love the comfortable seats, especially for long rides.  The car is a blast to drive, and the AWD adds confidence and security.  The engine and powertrain are also easily modifiable, say owners.  Some problems with turbo lag, reliability and expensive repairs top the list of complaints.
