CarGurus' 2000 Nissan Altima Review

The Nissan Altima was refreshed for 2000, receiving larger tires, a remodeled front and rear end, side airbags, a new dashboard, and rear cupholders. The Altima's engine also got an additional five horsepower.

The 2000 Altima came in four trim levels: the base XE, the midrange GXE, the sporty SE, and the luxurious GLE. The GXE was the most popular model, and the GLE came standard with leather seating and a power driver's seat. All Altimas in the lineup shared a 2.4 liter, 155 horsepower four cylinder engine. Fuel economy is 21/29 mpg.

Drivers like the 2000 Altima because it is a good value, gets good gas mileage, is comfortable to drive, and is very reliable. Some owners complain that it is a little bland, and there are some complaints about excessive road noise.
