CarGurus' 2004 Cadillac XLR Review

If you want power and finesse, look no further than the 2004 Cadillac XLR.  Cadillac found redemption with this new model after an unsuccessful run with the Allante.  Equipped with a 4.6 L, 320 hp V8 engine, this 2 door, 2 seat roadster convertible accelerates from 0-60 mph in 6 seconds.  The unique Magnetic Ride Control shock absorbers use iron particles to sense every contour in the road.

The 2004 Cadillac XLR gets you 17 mpg in the city, 25 mpg on the highway.  In addition, the XLR comes in a 2 door convertible trim with standard features that include power windows, power door locks, leather seats, power seats, ABS brakes, traction control, stability control, cd player, and a navigation system.  Cargo space beats the competition in its class with 11.6 cubic feet when you leave the top up, 4.4 with the top down.  Speaking of the top, reviewers estimate that it takes 30 seconds to fold down with one push of a button.  The interior provides ample room and quality materials for a coupe.   Tech afficionados will appreciate the keyless ignition and doors.
In short, reviewers rave about the Cadillac XLR.  One consumer even went so far as to say "I have died and gone to Heaven" after driving one.  Good luck finding one though.  Cadillac made only around 4,000 XLR's during the first model year and prices might make you think twice before buying.  In any event, work hard, follow your dreams, and maybe you too can one day cruise around in this acclaimed status symbol.
