Idle drops on braking

2006 Ion - less than 41K miles - When I remove foot from gas pedal and apply brakes engine goes to very low idle and them picks up. Feels like engine is going to stall. Never seems to go below 7K rpm, but drops dramatically from cruising Rpm to idle Rpm.

at 7000rpm you think it's stalling? It's getting ready to taxi down the runway!
