question

any big cost down the road for maintanance? timing belt, water pump anything along those lines that go bad at a certain mileage? expensive up keep?

All Porsche maintance is expensive, at the very least above indusrty avg. Go to car-survey.com and see what other Boxster owners say. best of luck

The Boxster in general is not requiring high maintenance, however, maintenance is expensive, as with any other german car. The best option is to always make sure that you buy a maintenance plan from Porsche if you buy a Boxter that is already out of its plan, or the alternative, buy a car that is still in its 5yr/100000km plan cycle.

I had no problems with my 2001 model whasoever, after travelling 20,000km.
