2000 Pontiac Sunfire Revs up and Down while in gear.

Automatic.

The vehicle "revs' up and down while in any gear other than Park. The RPM will usually jump from .5 to over 3k during this process.

I think it may be a vacuum leak but am not sure yet.

Any advice?
