my service engine soon light is on and i was told that i could find out on the internet how to read the code that would tell me what is wrong with it by doing something to the ignition. do you know how to do this or what is wrong with my van?

Hello, I believe that the error codes should be in your owner's manual. One word of caution is that the 2000 Montanas have been known to have "ghost codes;" the service engine light coming on with no reproducible errors. While waiting for an absolutely diagnosis, listen to your van and try to tell if it is running normally. Best of luck! CarGrrl
