Sounds like a bad temperature door motor. My Nieces '05 Impala had that problem. Try setting the controls for 60° & wait about a minute. Check the air temperature at both sides. Then set the controls for 90° & do the same. If one side stays the same temperature regardless of the control settings I'd suggest replacing the temperature door motor on the faulty side. HTH. -Jim

Where is the temp sensor in a '94 Grand Prix 3.1 L engine and at what temp does it turn on the fan? 2 answers

The passenger side radiator cooling fan does not turn on until the estimated temp reaches 225 to 230 degrees. I find this to be a bit hot. These temps are when the car is idling as in traffic jams.
