Do I have to replace strut mounts if I'm changing the struts?

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

I was looking at buying just the struts for the front & rear, but 1 of the Live Chat folks on a parts site said they had to sell me the strut mount kits. I just want to know if it's absolutely necessary?
