what type of coolant should i use?

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

Car is starting to run as high as 207 while idling in traffic.
Coolant has never been changed since purchase. Vehicle is a
2006.

207 is not too high. 220 is even okay when tracking the car. Panic should set in when it hits 230 or above. You did not mention your mileage. The coolant is factory recommended to 100k miles. I did mine around 50k (2008 Sol) when the water pump failed. If temps get out of hand, check your thermostat first and replace it. BTW, if you have never had the water pump done, it is coming. lol The original factory water pump is a known problem with our car.
