2001 olds intrigue had a high pressure power steering hose leak. Got that fixed and went to change inner tie rods and the boot had some fluid in the boot, I think it was power steering fluid.

There is a good chance the oil is just from your old leak. Nothing to worry about. Grease can separate and you can see oil from that as well. If you can grease the joint then do so if not don't worry about it.
