Car is acting crazy!
My car is acting all sorts of crazy the last day or so. The first time it did this I was able to turn the key on and off several times and crank it up. It cranked 2-3 times after that no problem... but last night it wouldn't crank again. What it does is the lights on the dashboard are dim and flashing... interior light is also dim. Car won't even turn over at all and there's a weird sound from the engine and the dash. Also, last night I locked my doors and closed it and the interior light came on after the door was shut (when it's only supposed to come on when the door is open). Has anybody else had this problem? Any ideas what it could be? Thanks for any help!
you should be able to turn that interior light on so it stays on all the time, on only when the doors are open, or off all the time. it
probably is in the wrong position and draining the battery. i assume the sound you hear when you try to start the car is a rapid clicking.
your battery is being drained to put it simply (probably from the light).
