transmission will not go in to gear, but shifter will move

There is plenty of fluid, put shifter in reverse and back up lights come on. Just no reaction from trans in any gear.

It's bad news, I'm afraid. I am not going to sugar coat it. The transmission is dead. It passed away peacefully.

Boholmark's response is suspiciously fraudulent. He is either totally incompetent or just plain trolling. Your issue is most likely a "detached" transaxle linkage and/or cable(s). A simple DIY operation.
