i have a 95 jeep grand cherokee v8 automatic and it wont shift into fourth gear it was shifting into fourth after it got really warmed up like five miles then it would shift ,but now its not shifting at all ,the fluid was a little low so i topped it off but its still not shifting can anyone help me i cant even drive on the freeway

sounds like the solenoid in the trans. jeeps around your year are known for this, theres a screen that gets blocked on the solenoid. they reccomend replacing them instead of trying to clean them. makes good sense to replace fluid and filter at the same time. after you drop the pan the solenoid is on the pass. side of trans and it's electrical.
