Question type: Maintenance & Repair

My steering wheel shakes when I use my breaks at speeds over 40. It has been happening for over a year now. Got new tires 6 months ago. New brakes and rotors a year ago. I have a 2003 Jeep Liberty. I researched online and came up with this list: wheels/rims need balancing, brake caliper, lateral runout, steering rack bushings, wheel bearings, tie rods or ball joints, cracked steering column, wheel alignment (make sure filler gap b/w pad and drum is per recommendation). Pretty sure I had an alignment when I got the new tires.

Typical Jeep problem, front rotors are warped, I have replaced the rotors on my Jeep 3 times so far in a 120k miles, it seems that the brakes are too small for the size of the vehicle. I've tried using drilled and slotted rotors, those didn't last over 10k miles, so now I have put on heavy duty rotors and semi metallic pads, so far they have 20k on them and seem to be working good, no warpage yet, pad wear looks good. Might give them a try.
