I am currently looking to buy an engine for a 1999 For escort zx2 dual cams,but I need to know the actual description of the engine. Does anyone know?

I am replacing an the current engine, I bought the car and after 1 week found the engine had no pressure in it. Is this what you meant?

No compression? (no pressure in it? okay.) not quite understanding the question....you wish to put a different motor than the original? from what year is the donor vehicle...the current vehicle may not be electrically compatible....in other words if too new the connectors would have no where to connect to...do you understand?
