Question type: Maintenance & Repair

While driving suddenly trunk opened, windshield wipers stopped working, door locks went up and down, lights on and off. Beeping constantly. Was not able to continue and had to drive back home. Was told by friends and others that there was a bad ground and to fix it will be very expensive as $500.00 +

Looking for solutions, suggestions what else might be wrong with, what mechanic should look for and where exactly etc etc. please respond.

It possible could be a ground wire, I'm sure it won't be $500, that's only if they can't find the issue and spend a long time finding it. I can't tell you specifically what to look for, it could be the ground wire at the battery or an issue with the PCM, or the power control module, aka the computer, and or a wire that is loose or is wearing. Electrical issues are hard to find, but if you have the patience and the right tools, you can find it. So I'd take it to a competent certified garage that you trust, they will have the correct tools to diagnose the issue.
