Why does my 1983 Ford f100 die when I come to a stop

Engine dies when I come to a stop.I know its the carb.but
don't know what it is?

Hi, have you checked all of the fuel lines? maybe with your foot being off the gas its not getting enough fuel going to the motor. also check your idling screw on your carb. you might just have to turn that in a half or full turn then check your timing and make sure thats set correctly.

I suggest you rebuild or have the 2V carb rebuilt a kits only $32 after 33 years its due! there not hard to rebuild just a thought.
