Question type: Maintenance & Repair

Car is in great shape and am going to get it.  It was started last year but has not seen
the road for 4.  What do I need to do to make sure I am good to drive it 125km to the
shop?

possibly but i dont know how long 125km is. itll need a tune up and check tires n change oil prob.

Depending on where you live and the circumstances on how the car was stored, you will need to check the shocks/struts/springs, the general suspension, front end and especially the half shafts. If there was rain and the car was out in the elements, check to see if there is any debris in the air vents that could have stayed and caused rust over time. It's been my experience that Honda suffers badly with rust in the wheel wells and quarter panels. Check the oil for signs for any particles or how dirty it is. Pull a couple of plugs and see if they are wet from oil (it's not a good sign if they are wet). Do a compression test to find out how stable the engine is. Try not to fire it up until after you check it over and know that it is safe. You won't know how good the clutch is until after you get it safely running. Good Luck.
