Best brand/size tires for the 2004 astro/safari

Asked by donzi52 Dec 03, 2015 at 12:24 PM about the 2005 GMC Safari 3 Dr SLE

Question type: General

Stock is 215/70-16.  Van is a little mushy so I would like to get a Light Truck
tire with a stiffer sidewall.

I was looking for a more specific answer. Recommend a brand like Dunlap or General. Maybe use a 235/65-16 (same diameter as stock tire)! I have researched "tirerack" for hours but they just recommend the same as GMC 215/70-16. Thanks for your input!

I like Goodyear tires myself and have always had really good luck with them. Look for a tire with the LT rating. A mushy ride could be back shocks or saggy springs too. Check the air pressure in your tires. If they are P rated then you can run them at 35psi which is fairly firm.
